Hiding in the basement of Buckman School is this community pool. Named for Cyrus Buckman, a school board member and orchardist, the school is surrounded by the community garden center, Buckman Field. The 20-yard pool offers swim and water exercise classes as well as lap and open swim sessions. Just a quick jaunt across the Burnside Bridge, this pool is a great place to get away for a little water fitness. Admission is $2.50 for adults and $1.50 for children. Review © 2009, Wcities |
