PDX (or old Portland style) refers to a type of house you will find in Portland, as well as to this golf course itself. PDX also refers to the nearby airport, which surprisingly isn't too much of a distraction. The hand-watered fairways and the fast meticulously maintained greens render the jet noise unimportant. The par-72 course is challenging, with old trees and all kinds of hills and bumps. Situated close to the Columbia River, the course provides a spectacular view of the tops of the nearby Cascade Mountains on clear days. Green fees run about $26-28. Review © 2009, Wcities |
