Named after an old Methodist college (Portland University), this gathering place for the community is also very close to the University of Portland. Baseball and soccer fields grace the 16.5-acres of park space, as well as a path that runs throughout. Nearly half a century old, the community center provides a gymnasium, stage, kitchen and classrooms. The original center also housed the fire department, federal administrative offices and a restaurant. Call to reserve this location for a private function. There are no fees to use the park, unless the shelter or facility is reserved for an organized event; fees depend on the event.
