To commemorate 250 years of the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791) and his everlasting connection to the city, Prague inaugurated an annual festival in hopes of raising awareness and knowledge of the famous composer's extensive works. Leading orchestras and soloists from around the world perform at this event, which boasts the collaboration of some of Prague's most powerful and respected cultural institutions.
