Caffrey's Irish Bar

Traditional Irish food and drink
Staromestske namesti 10
Old Town Square 10
Prague 11000
Czech Republic

A popular haunt of British and American expatriates who have yet to figure out they are in a foreign city, this pub tends to attract a noisy crowd of hooters and hollerers in an fun atmosphere. Tucked in a corner of Old Town Square, the restaurant/bar attracts its fair share of tourists stumbling by, especially those longing for a pint or needing to speak real English. In addition to traditional Irish food, with all day Irish breakfasts served from 9am, the restaurant also serves excellent seafood. Naturally, the popular drinks are Irish: Caffrey's beer (of course!) Guinness and Murphy's. On special occasions - such as St. Patrick's Day - Irish dancing and live folk music pulls in the hordes. Expect typical Irish pub decor with plenty of pictures and pub souvenirs.

Molly Malone's

Prague's first Irish pub
U Obecniho Dvora 4

The food includes such traditional Irish staples as Hot and Spicy Chicken Wings & Sautéed Beef Strips! Both of these dishes are delicious. A stone fireplce works its magic in the wintertime, transforming the spot into somewhere quite cozy and romantic, especially if you can grab the corner table.

O'Briens Irish Bar

Irish pub and internet café

A great front room with a chunky bar, old tables and a rack of single malts, makes this a fine place to come for a drink. There is the usual range of beers, including the obligatory Guinness and Murphy's as well as a choice of two Czech brews. Food is served downstairs in a long restaurant that is somewhat tackily decorated in a nautical theme; ropes and nets hang from the ceiling and walls. However, the food is good, although above average priced. The pub also has a small Internet café attached to it with its own entrance, with slightly unusual opening hours and room for five computers.

Five nationalities in one

Don't let the ambiguous location discourage you from this restaurant. Turn those few extra corners and you will discover its charming patio and entrance. One look at the menu will immediately set this restauarant apart from others in the city. Dishes representing cuisine from France, Italy, Norway, Ireland and Mexico sprinkle the page. Although each nationality is only allocated a few dishes, the overall choice is large and obviously diverse. The décor is a skillful blend of furnishings characteristic of each of the 5 regions.
