Romantic views from the Dancing Building |
Rašínovo nábreží 80 Dancing House - Tancící dum Prague 12000 Czech Republic +420 2 2198 4160 http://www.laperle.cz/ |
Located atop the most controversial architectural feat of the last decade, the Dancing Building, this restaurant is sassy and knows it. The St. Peter's fish in champagne sauce is a favorite entrée as is the duck breast in port wine sauce. A heavenly dessert tray offers rich chocolate and fruit cakes. Step outside on the rooftop terrace and take in the stunning view of the castle views over coffee or cognac. The Michelin guide claims this to be "the best French restaurant in Prague." 14th-century splendor |
Husova 14 Prague 11000 Czech Republic +420 2 2421 6467 / +420 2 2421 6489 http://www.pmz-gastro.cz/AJ/cafe/ |
A stone's throw from Charles Bridge in the heart of the Old Town, this building dates back to the 14th century. Inside the quiet, cave-like cellar restaurant, well-prepared Czech and continental favorites are served alongside a respectable selection of Moravian and French wines. It is recognized by locals as one of the city's top restaurants and many representatives of the Czech nouveau riche, ex-pat business folk and tourists dine here in splendor. Incidentally, one of the present owners is a member of the Puskin family, hence the name. Review © 2007, Wcities |

International cuisine with a Mediterranean flair |
Na Strzi 32 Hotel Barcelo Prague 14000 Czech Republic 420 2 9677 2111 http://www.barcelo.cz/ |
Located inside the Hotel Barcelo a little way out of the main city, this restaurant offers Spanish, Czech and international cuisine. Its splendid reputation for well-prepared dishes, especially Spanish, has spread around town, drawing locals in addition to hotel guests. The plush furnishings are well laid out across in the large space. Service sets the standard for hotel restuarants. Spanish-owned, the hotel's southern influence is best reflectedin its selection of wines and beers. Pricey but worth it. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Tasty seafood treats |
Karlova 20/180 Prague 1 Prague 11000 Czech Republic +420 2 2222 1218 http://www.reykjavik.cz |
It is hard to miss this restaurant, situated on the main tourist drag from Old Town Square to Charles Bridge. The Reykjavyk serves up well-prepared Icelandic dishes, with an emphasis on seafood flown in daily from the homeland. Although it also serves burgers and chicken, stick with the staple seafood treats, which are served in large portions - the lobster and salmon steak are brilliant. The interior is comfortably elegant, and the staff are friendly and capable. Review © 2007, Wcities |
