Not just coffee |
Husova 10 Prague 11000 Czech Republic +420 2 2421 3173 http://www.ethno.cz/ |
Though this place brews 12 different kinds of coffee, they don't stop at that. They also offer cocktails, beer and other spirits. Food consists of names, such as Salat Tonno s Tunakem and Rajcata s Mozzarelou (tough on the speech, easy on the wallet). The staff is prompt and gives you what you want. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Student populated watering hole |
Ladova, 1 Prague 12800 Czech Republic +420 603 48 3526 |
Student cafe? No problem. With a school across the street the clientele of this small café generally tends to be in their teens and twenties. However, a charming atmosphere and extremely comfortable seating is appealing to even the not so youthful. The décor is trendier than most cafes of similar stature and the staff will always seem to greet you with a smile. Only drinks are served but the menu is extensive and inexpensive. Located one block from the Vlatva River, half way between the National Theater and Vysehrad, it is central but not easy to find. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Cozy local café |

Friendly service and a family atmosphere are characteristic of this café. You will always be on the receiving end of a dobry den and a smile at the door. A small service bar and several stools occupy the front room and there are more tables in the back. A beautiful glass-enclosed patio at the rear offers splendid lighting and warmth on a sunny day. The menu is simple and consists of a wide range of coffees and several alcoholic specialty drinks. Don't worry about the prices—they won't scare you away and you may just end up becoming a regular. Specialty brews |
Dlouha 39 Prague 11000 Czech Republic |
Going on the success of the Starbucks style cafes found in the States and Britain, this space serves speciality coffees for those expecting a tastier, higher quality brew than those usually found in restaurants or cafes. The strategic corner location attracts a combination crowd of businesspersons, tourists and students. Many choose to take their choice on the run while tall stool and normal table seating is available along with standing room. A respectable selection of desserts and sandwiches is also on offer. Bargain hunters can pick up a card and after purchasing their first ten coffees receive one free! Review © 2007, Wcities |

Classical music and caffeine |
Tyn 2/640 Prague 11000 Czech Republic +420 2 2489 5788 |
A great one-stop shop for any Java head, this quiet little coffee merchant has just about any kind of coffee you could want including 27 Arabic, 3 robust, 14 blends and 7 aromatics as well as over 40 kinds of tea. All coffees are reasonably priced, with the Kenya Superstar costing a little more. They also sell assorted designer coffee-makers. Housed in a small baroque-style room off the Tyn courtyard, the space is filled with classical music and draws a diverse crowd of students to grandmothers. Review © 2007, Wcities |
