Should you decide to take tram 22 to the top of Castle Hill instead of undertaking the uphill walk, you will find the gardens immediately to the left of the castle entrance from Marianske hradby. Established by Emperor Ferdinand during the 1530s, the gardens are extremely well kept, with manicured lawns and beautiful flower arrangements.
