This delightful restaurant is one of the few fine dining establishments in Carytown. Enjoy traditional Italian cuisine including Carpaccio di Manzo —raw, thinly sliced beef tenderloin with a walnut and honey vinaigrette and Insalata alla Caprese —homemade fresh mozzarella, roma tomatoes, capers, basil and olive oil. Entrees like Gamberoni allo Zafferano —pan seared jumbo shrimp with pancetta, saffron, brandy and cream sauce or Quaglie del Nonno—roasted twin quails filled with sausages in a barbera wine and shallot reduction are delectable.

Fine dining, a bar and free games of pool make The Triple a fun place. Dim lights and neon strike purple walls and exposed brick, creating an artistic effect. Cozy tables nestle in one section of the restaurant, pool tables in the other. Innovative local artwork hangs throughout the place. It is best known for seafood. The seared salmon and fried oysters are delectable. Other fare includes creative choices like the Pork Cubano Sandwich, dressed with pickles and hot mustard.

The Village has been a neighborhood favorite for decades. Best-selling novelist and Richmond native, Tom Robbins, used to frequent the joint. The servers are notoriously rude, but that is part of the charm. Their behavior is not so offensive as to prevent guests from having a positive experience. One warning specify a glass or a pitcher for beverages or you will get a pitcher. This is a Village trademark. The food is quite tasty and a good selection of beer and mixed drinks is available. Chocolate Chip Pancakes with Walnuts and Baked Brie with Apples are favorites.

This restaurant is a great place for a quiet evening for two. Open later than most places it provides an opportunity for late night fine dining. Appetizers here are delicious. Choose from selections like Bayou Catfish Fingers with zesty jalapeno dip and crispy fried spring rolls with sweet and spicy apricot chutney. Entrees include vegetarian and seafood daily specials or regular offerings like Black Angus New York Strip with roasted garlic glaze topped with cheese and the Apple and Raisin Stuffed Pork Loin with gingersnap gravy.

This small, romantic hideaway is a local brunch favorite. It does get crowded, so come early to be sure of a good table and short wait. Work by local artists adorns the walls and chalkboard menus rest upon every table. The superb menu here changes frequently. A favorite dish is Filet Mignon with a Crab Bearnaise Sauce. The desserts are out of this world, particularly the Chocolate Mousse.
