Rome |
Central Rome was originally encircled by the Muro Torto (or Aurelian Wall) which dates back to around 270 AD. Later on in time it was extended, but the municipality of Central Rome is now the smallest of Rome's administrative areas. Central Rome lies to the east of the river Tiber and contains a huge wealth of sights. These include the Pantheon in Old Rome, the old Jewish ghetto and, of course, the Colosseum.
