Almost always with folks waiting outside under its blue neon sign, Osteria Rouge is a place where locals and non-locals alike can taste typical and atypical flavors of Rome! Take a look up on the deep red wall and you'll find a chalkboard where the chef writes the entire menu which he creates daily. Made to perfection are some distinctive Roman dishes such as the Carbonara and the Amatriciana. Along with the classics are fantastic Mediterranean-influenced fusions. If you like a taste that bites back, try their spicy signature Rouge sauce (a calabrian flavor with wild boar in it). Hard as it might be, save some room for homemade tiramisu, or various pastries such as "Dolce di Pastafrolla alle Mele con Cannella" (pastry with apples and cinnamon).
