The Pantheon district is a labyrinth of narrow streets that date from the Middle Ages. Built during the Renaissance and baroque eras, this area is filled with churches and palaces. The only feasible way to explore here is on foot. At the heart of this area is Piazza Navona, which was built on Emperor Domitian's stadium and now bustles with cafes, street artists and musicians. There are several hotels in this area and plenty of great places to eat. Review © 2009, Wcities |
