The Rome Marathon is appreciated not only by sports lovers and athletes, but also by Roman citizens. This is due to the wealth of activities, including concerts and other cultural events, that take place around the city at the same time. The marathon's fame is mostly due to the fact that the course stretches around the capital's most famous attractions. The entrance fee to participate in the run is EUR20.65.
