By 1929, the Church reached an agreement with Mussolini that made the Vatican City an independent state. Since the 4th century, it has been the home of the Catholic Church. Amazingly the city only consists of 108 acres and is home to numerous important historical sites. These include the Vatican Museum, Saint Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. The dress code, however, is very strict; visitors must cover their shoulders and legs at all times. Review © 2009, Wcities |
