Endicott's

Casual, friendly neighborhood coffeehouse
1109 21st St
Sacramento, CA 95814
United States
+1 916 447 2253
This is a small midtown coffee shop that offers sandwiches, pastries, fresh ground coffee and friendly service. The staff is always eager to please, and do not seem to mind special requests when making sandwiches. The clientele includes musicians between gigs at the local blues club rubbing shoulders with police munching muffins and talking shop between calls. During the summer months, tables and umbrellas are set up on the sidewalk outside.

Konditorei in German means a pastry shop. Owned and run by the Austrian couple Albert and Gloria Kutternig, this pastry store sells lip-smacking goodies. You would find anything and everything here—cakes, cookies, sweet breads, pastries, marzipan creations, ice creams, tarts and more. If this isn't enough, you can even have a quick breakfast and lunch of quiches, calzones, pizzas and soups. The bakery has just introduced new flavors in Gelatos, which should not be ignored. And finally, with an ambience that spells old world charm, Konditorei can possibly never go wrong!

Mishka's Cafe

Coffee, Music & Art
514 2nd Street
Sacramento, CA 95616
United States
+1 530 759 0811
http://www.mishkascafe.com/
The coffee is always fresh here, thanks to the ancient gigantic coffee grinder/roaster sitting amidst the tables in this busy cafe. There is an eclectic mix of sandwiches and salads as well as calzones, wraps, ice cream, smoothies and Italian sodas among other delicacies. In addition to the aroma of coffee the atmosphere is culturally spiced up as well. Local artists have their work featured on the warm adobe-colored walls, and a jazz combo improvises in the background every Friday night.

Tower Cafe

Breakfasts & After-Movie Dining
1518 Broadway
Sacramento, CA 95818
United States
+1 916 441 0222
http://www.towercafe.com
An eclectic crowd, night shift and early shift workers come for the breakfasts. Try the Huevos Rancheros or a plain eggs-and-toast breakfast; the portions are generous. A variety of entrees is featured for lunch and dinner, ranging from seafood such as grilled swordfish (plump and flavorful) to spicy Mexican carnitas. For dessert, the bakery provides exceptional cookies, mouth-watering cakes, and various pastries. During lunch, the patio is usually crowded. If you want to sit outside (particularly on a nice day), expect a wait.
