Bidwell Street Bistro

When only a crepe will do
1004 East Bidwell
Sacramento, CA 95630
United States
+1 916 984 7500
http://www.bidwellstreetbistro...
You can order several French or Mediterranean dishes, like Boeuf Bourguignon here, but this bistro is about crepes. Each and every one of its 35 different and delicious crepes is delivered to your table carefully crammed with filling, folded into a neat square and topped with a bow of cheese and ribbon of sauce. The menu offers vegetarian crepes, and your choice of buckwheat, or whole-wheat crepes. The menu has a nice selection of wines, which blend well with the texture and flavors of the crepes.

Buca di Beppo

Family-style Italian Cuisine Near Downtown
1249 Howe Ave
Sacramento, CA 95825
United States
+1 916 922 6673

The atmosphere is warm and friendly, even fun. For an entree, the Ravioli al Pomodoro filled with mild cheese and tomato sauce is sure to please. Choose from several huge Neapolitan-style pizzas, each two feet long and one foot wide. The crusts are thin, crisp and wonderfully smoky tasting. It also offers a selection of huge salads, and an amazing selection of desserts like lemon cream puffs, special Buca bread pudding and a very unusual chocolate cannoli. Portions are large and can be shared.

Cafe Morocco

A hidden Mediterranean treasure
1221 Alhambra Blvd
Sacramento, CA 95816
United States
+1 916 731 4637
Although hidden in the shadows of a strip mall, this place has plain decor; however, its food is excellent. Traditional staples like hummus, falafel and kabobs complement other specialties that are exotic. A good choice is the Moroccan Tagine (a dish of chicken or lamb with vegetables and spices) or Mujadara (an Egyptian concoction of chicken with rice and lentils mixed with spice and vegetables). For a lunch treat, try a Shawarma, a Mediterranean style burrito.
