Low-fat, vegetarian Thai cuisine |
900 12th St Sacramento, CA 95814 United States +1 916 447 9063 http://www.amarinsacramento.com |
A compact place with an emphasis on the healthy side of Thai cuisine. Wide windows, bold primary colors and intricate Thai murals seemingly add to the size of the dining room. Curries are used liberally in a variety of exotic entrees such as "Path Pak" (Thai stir fry) and "Mussamun" (tofu in mild coconut milk curry). The menu consists of a plethora of tofu dishes, tofu combined with just about every veggie and spice imaginable. The seven-page menu also offers a rich assortment of seafood and stir-fry noodle dishes. There is a second location in Folsom at 6608 Folsom-Auburn Rd, Ste 9 (+1 916 988 8581). Famed Fat moves to suburbs |
1500 Eureka Rd Sacramento, CA 95678 United States +1 916 787 3287 http://www.fatsbistro.com |
Noted for their downtown dynasty of fine restaurants, the Fat family moves in on suburbia with its location in Roseville. The eatery features a largely Chinese menu skillfully prepared and served among rich mahogany paneling and exquisite furnishings. From the dim sum, try the Shrimp Har Gow or the Pork Shu Mei. Popular entrees include Canton pepper beef and Thai crispy chicken. For dessert, of course, try a wedge of Fats beloved banana cream pie. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Old Saigon Cuisine with a French Accent |
601 Munroe St Sacramento, CA 95825 United States +1 916 486 4891 http://www.lemongrassrestauran... |
This dining spot is decorated with bright colors. Start with the salad rolls, which are tiny tubular rice-paper rolls stuffed with the prawns' tiny cousins, baby shrimp, along with mint and fresh bean sprouts. A table of four will be made happy by an order of lemon grass soup, a truly gigantic bowl with lemon grass being the distinctive tone in an orchestra of flavors including chicken and mushroom.
