Spectacular View & Dining in Folsom |
9900 Greenback Ln Sacramento, CA 95630 United States +1 916 989 9243 |
Of all the views from all the river restaurants in the Sacramento area, the American River view from the Cliff House is the known as the most spectacular. The restaurant sits on the side of a cliff and hangs over the river. Although several indoor tables allow you to enjoy the view, the best view can be seen from a patio table. This fine-dining restaurant is the perfect place for a romantic dinner. The menu offers a variety of delicious seafood and beef selections. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Beloved Neighborhood Sandwich Shop |
1310 S Street (between 13th & 14th Streets) Sacramento, CA 95814 United States +1 916 448 3237 http://www.eatatdads.com |
Just a hop, skip and a jump away from the hustle and bustle of Sacramento's busy downtown corridor is Dad's, a friendly neighborhood lunch joint famous for its slightly offbeat take on classic sandwich combinations. The menu features 27 sandwiches, both cold and grilled (many with ingredients such as Hungarian paprika, walnuts, pepper plant sauce and wax peppers - and all with names like "Bad Breath Special," "Hot Blonde," "Fat Elvis" and "Bikini Kill"), so decision making can be tough (especially since you can substitute tri-tip on any selection for just 75 cents). Shady sidewalk seating under S Street's canopy of trees makes for an eminently pleasant lunch. See website for full sandwich list, soup and salad options, breakfast menu and event calendar. Taste the Big Easy in Old Town Sacramento |
117 J St Sacramento, CA 95814 United States +1 916 443 5051 |
Taste the "Big Easy," New Orleans, right in Old Sacramento. This is the only place in town to get genuine Louisiana-style Cajun cooking. Authentic meals include choices like alligator, crawfish, and yes, even turtle soup. The decor, authentic food, and music brings the bayou to the delta. Live bands perform jazz, reggae and zydeco from 9p until midnight Thursday through Saturday and all day on Sunday. If the music moves you, take to the dance floor. Be advised, Cajun cooking is, indeed, hot and spicy. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Eclectic menu in Midtown |
2028 H St Sacramento, CA 95814 United States +1 916 443 7585 |
This is a trendy upscale restaurant, which has succeeded in melding east and west cuisine into exotically presented flavors. You simply do not find rock shrimp quesadillas, curried pasta and lemon grass under tender chicken strips at any corner diner. The menu features an extensive wine list. Although the service can be slow and erratic at times, the restaurant is still very popular. An upper class Midtown Sacramento crowd frequents this dining spot. After a few dinners with wine, you too, will be a regular. Review © 2007, Wcities |
