Founded more than 100 years ago, this combination restaurant and winery is the oldest family-owned wine producer in Sacramento. The restaurant features Redwood walls, burgundy tablecloths, candlelight and huge wooden vats. The cozy bar features a beautiful rock fireplace and French doors leading to the deck and gardens. Capellini Pomodoro (pasta in tomato, basil, mushroom sauce with Mozzarella cheese), and Risotto Encrusted Salmon (topped with mushroom risotto) are among entree choices. With its microbrewery located onsite you are assured the freshest of nine brews including a tasty pilsner, amber stout and other house brews that vary throughout the year. Early spring each year sees the advent of a few choice barrels of the unique SBC bock beer. Bar food specials include the huge SBC burger, fish and chips and a seafood pizza. The lunch and dinner menu includes specialty entrees, salads, and soups. The brunch on Sundays is excellent and includes unlimited champagne or house microbrews.
