Located right in the university area, a few meters from the university's famous façade. You can have breakfast here for about 300 ptas (EUR 1.80) surrounded by many students and foreigners. You can also surf the Net for 300 ptas (EUR 1.80) an hour while enjoying a coffee, a pincho (like a tapa) or an ice cream. This is a very roomy place with several large tables, which are very useful to get your student essays and papers done, to read newspapers or to eat.

This cafe, located right in the university area, is a very cozy and quiet place with a distinctive Italian flavor. It is very near the Universidad Pontificia and several Salamanca University schools. They offer special breakfasts, all kinds of coffee, pastries and home-made cakes. It is decorated like a typical Italian coffee shop, both with natural wood and painted green. There are slates showing the daily or weekly specials and photos of internationally famous artists on the walls. Their sugar bowls, steins and the combination of different flavors in their cakes are interesting and pretty unique.

It is located near the Plaza Mayor, next to several university schools and surrounded by restaurants, souvenir shops and spots popular with street performers. Moreover, they organize their own shows with storytellers, jazz concerts and literary gatherings. The admission for some of the shows is free, but sometimes you have to pay to get in. Film cameras, armchairs in the shape of a woman´s legs and colorful paintings give this large two-story establishment a warm atmosphere.

If you want to meet up with someone, this is the perfect place because it is located on an important crossroads in town. Early in the morning, they offer quick breakfasts, and later on you can choose from among several kinds of pinchos (like tapas), which they serve with your glass of wine or beer. There are two bars with stools and no tables. There are windows all around and it is always crowded. They also serve ice-cream and have a famous outdoor terrace that is ideally located.
