It is beautifully decorated with pottery from the area and paintings depicting bullfighting scenes. There are two cozy dining rooms, one of which can be reserved for special occasions. The restaurant also has a wine expert on hand to help customers choose just the right wine to accompany their meal. Their stews (the partridge variety in particular) are the house specialties, though you won't be disappointed by the parrilladas (grilled meat to share), featuring morucha (beef). Their sangre encebollada (blood fried with onions) and their tongue with pine nuts are also quite good. Curiously, Valencia the restaurant promotes local food from Salamanca province (as opposed to Valencia on the coast). It is the perfect place for those who already know and love this cuisine or for those who want to try it out.
