Sardines, roast chicken and sangria |
Nenúfar, s/n Salamanca 37004 Spain |
At this unusual restaurant, located in an old wine cellar, you will see hundreds of steins with the names of customers that have visited it over the last four decades. Moreover, regulars usually write their names on the ceiling, a tradition that still survives to this day. As for food, they only serve roast chicken and sardines, and their typical drink is "sangría", while dessert options are either custard or ice cream. Despite this limited menu, it is still worth a visit, and it is very popular with locals, so much so that it is advisable to book a table on weekends. Review © 2007, Wcities |
