A series of concerts originally called 'Jazz in the Theatre' took place at the Elizabeth Theatre, hence the name. In 2002 a venue called Jazzit opened its doors near the main station. Since then it has become the meeting point of the Salzburg jazz scene. Besides concerts with international stars, there are jam sessions taking place every Tuesday.
