Hotel Brandstätter is particularly suited to those arriving by car, or people visiting Salzburg's exhibition centre, as it lies right next to the motorway stop Salzburg-Mitte. That said, it is in quite a calm spot and the rooms are decorated in a country house style; some have their own balconies. The service is particularly friendly and competent by all accounts. Pension Rosi, a small guesthouse, specialises in simple rooms for a good price. They mainly rent to people who want to visit an exhibition or just potter around in town for a couple of days. The small house is situated near the Salzachsee and is easy to reach over the A1 freeway. The rooms are rather sparse, but nicely decorated and all have en suite facilities. Furthermore it is connected sufficiently with downtown Salzburg through a regular bus service. Exhibition visitors might consider this alternative, because the newly built exhibition centre is just around the corner. A simple and inexpensive hotel and certainly an option worth looking into!
