Hotel Himmelreich (translated: heaven) is situated in the district of the same name on the city limits; it is relatively close to the city centre (15 minutes' drive), but also offers the advantages of a more rural region - lots of green space and a very quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The hotel is situated close to Salzburg airport, but the noise is not really noticeable. The hotel has been completely refurbished recently and the spacious rooms are equipped to a high standard and the adjoining restaurant enjoys an excellent reputation among locals. Mostwastl is a piece of Salzburg tradition and well loved among locals as a centre of all things gourmet. This is a typical Austrian guesthouse that offers comfortably furnished rooms, some with four-poster beds and all maintaining a traditional country ambience. For city hoppers, this is only really to be recommended if travelling by car, unless you don't mind a bit of a ride into town on the bus. Hotel Schöne Aussicht (translated: beautiful view) resides in a 300 year-old farmhouse and lives up to its name. This three-star hotel, situated on the Heuberg, is a great vantage point and owns a fabulous restaurant with an open-air terrace and panoramic views. The modern, well-fitted rooms all have en suite bathrooms and the view applies to most of the rooms too.
