Enjoy a drink in this casual bar |
2015 San Pedro Ave San Antonio, TX 78212 United States +1 210 733 3365 http://www.2015place.com |
The 2015 is a friendly neighborhood bar in the Monte Vista district that sports an almost exclusively lesbian/gay clientele. It has pool tables, a small dance floor and multiple nightly drink specials. The 2015 is a great place to start the evening before heading off to a restaurant or club, as well as a place to go have a drink without having to deal with the lounge or pick-up scene. Coffee, wine and sinful desserts |
3011 N St. Mary's St San Antonio, TX 78212 United States +1 210 738 0099 |
If you don't love sinful desserts, delicious coffee and fine wines, then perhaps you should choose another place. Otherwise, enjoy them all while curled up on a big comfy couch, poised at an antique table, or relaxing on a shaded patio. This coffeehouse and wine bar is one of the best kept secrets in the city. As is common in this part of town, Candlelight draws a mixed crowd. For a conservative city, this establishment is decidedly gay friendly. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Irish Pub on the River Walk |
Hilton Palacio del Rio 715 E River Walk St San Antonio, TX 78205 United States +1 210 222 1400 |
When you think of San Antonio, you don't necessarily think of an Irish pub, now do you? Well, think again. Durty Nelly's, located on the River Walk on the river level of the Hilton hotel, is a rollicking good time. Pull up a chair, order a beer (or two, or ten) and sing along with the pianist. A versatile guy, the pianist takes requests and can play just about anything. Probably the most fun thing to do is munch on the peanuts and toss the shells on the floor. Yes, it is allowed! Known for great food and an odd building |
328 E Josephine St San Antonio, TX 78215 United States +1 210 227 1187 |
Liberty Bar's old, deceptively restored home seems to lean so precariously, one wonders how it still stands. Wrongfully playing second fiddle to the building, the menu and the wine list boast some unique and tasty selections. Do not pass up any of the chicken dishes, the chilled green bean salad, or the homemade breads and desserts. The bar portion of the restaurant draws an eclectic and lively crowd in the evenings. Be sure to pop in for brunch on Sundays. Review © 2007, Wcities |
