If you've never tried Greek food, Demo's is the place to start. Grab a classic gyro for $4.30 or a large Greek salad for $5.25. Lunch specials start at $4.50. If you're feeling a bit bold, try the sampler plate for $10.95 and get a taste of beef and chicken souvlaki, spanakopita, a gyro, a Greek salad and a tiropita. A live Greek band on Saturday nights and belly dancers on Wednesday nights add to the celebratory mood of this casual restaurant. The decor is nothing special, but the food makes this place worth a visit. Along with very good gyros, it offers moussaka, pastitsio, spanikopita, baklava and other traditional favorites. The stuffed grape leaves are just like the ones made in the mother country. The restaurateurs bottle their own Greek salad dressing as well.

The staff is friendly and willing to help novices choose just the right dish.
