This restaurant offers a mix of both Texan and Mediterranean flavors. Among its specialties and other highly requested items are the Pecan Crusted Prime Rib and the Jumbo Sea Scallops. If your taste runs more toward traditional Texas home cooking, try the Wild Mixed Grill, which consists of four different meats accompanied by potatoes. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is inviting, making this a great place when you're planning for that special dinner. Also open for breakfast and lunch.

Cebu

Authentic Phillipino food
13032 Nacogdoches Road, Suite 200
San Antonio, TX 78217
United States
+1 210 590 8899
For a romantic evening out, Sebu's sums it all up. The ambience is cozy and the food is authentic and exotic, bringing the flavor of the Philippines to San Antonio. Coconut milk is one of the main ingredients used in the food. Try the Bicol Spicy, a stew influenced by Asian recipes. Sebu's popularity makes reservations a must, so book well in advance.

Cha Cha's Restaurant

52 different margaritas
2026 Babcock Rd
San Antonio, TX 78229
United States
+1 210 615 7000
http://www.cha-chas.com
The festively named Cha Cha's, located in the heart of the Medical Center area, is big on atmosphere. The decor ranges from traditional and somewhat boring to elegant and quaint. For a romantic dinner, ask for a table in the gazebo section. Each secluded table is surrounded by a white wrought-iron dome laced with (ahem, plastic) ivy. However, after a few of this place's 52 varieties of margaritas, you won't care. Expect to find the usual Tex-Mex favorites: enchiladas, tacos and fajitas.

The second Cha Cha's location is at 5616 Bandera Road in San Antonio (+1 210 681 2066).

Crumpets Restaurant & Bakery

A continental oasis
3920 Harry Wurzbach Rd
(off Loop 410 near Oakwell Farms)
San Antonio, TX 78209
United States
+1 210 821 5600
http://www.crumpetsa.com
Crumpets' casual elegance is rivaled only by its contemporary cuisine. Daily specials and beautiful surroundings make this little restaurant and bakery popular among ladies who lunch, couples who kiss and friends who fraternize. Dining al fresco is simply a treat. Let the shade of the live oak trees ease the burden of the sun as you listen to the soft rush of small waterfalls in the background, or sit by one of the huge picture windows and enjoy the scenery from the inside. The varied menu includes a delightful selection of soups, salads, seafood, pasta, beef and chicken. Choose a traditional entrée such as the rosemary chicken, or try something not as traditional, like the ostrich filet. The five-course Sunday brunch is a must-do.

Dolores Del Rio

Italian Cuisine, Belly Dancers and Jazz on the River
106 Riverwalk
(next to Sze-Schuen Chinese Restaurant)
San Antonio, TX 78205
United States
+1 210 222 9998
A small awning above a rosemary-green door gives the only indication that this little Italian restaurant has carved out some space on the River Walk. If you're having trouble finding it, just follow the smell of garlic or look for the crowd of people waiting to get in. Warm candlelight casts lazy shadows on the white rock walls, and low ceilings settle over intimately fixed tables. Add in some live jazz music and belly dancing and you've got one of the most quirkily romantic, one-of-a-kind restaurants in the city. Almost anything you order is guaranteed to be delicious. Try Linguini with Asparagus, Mostacolli with Meatballs or Stefania's Gorgonzola Pasta at this truly unique eatery.

Little Rhein Steak House

Top-choice steakhouse on the River Walk
231 South Alamo St
San Antonio, TX 78205
United States
+1 210 225 2111
http://www.littlerheinsteakhou...
Dining just does not get more Texan than a cold beer and a good steak, and that is what you get at the Little Rhein. This famous River Walk restaurant is housed in the oldest two-story structure in San Antonio, which was built in 1847. Antique memorabilia decorates the walls and takes you back to an age when Texans sat down to dinner with their six guns. The menu contains a variety of steaks, ranging from filet mignons to T-bones to rib eyes. All steaks are served with salad, baked potato and "Texas Caviar" (deliciously seasoned, baked black-eyed peas).

Old San Francisco Steakhouse

A Superb Dining Experience
10223 Sahara
San Antonio, TX 78216
United States
+1 210 342 2321
For over 30 years, the Old San Francisco Steak House has been a San Antonio tradition, serving some of the finest steak dinners in town. Although the restaurant is well known for its steaks, it has enhanced its menu to include fresh seafood and chicken dishes. One of the unique features of this restaurant is the girl in the red velvet swing. She entertains guests as she swings above them as they enjoy their meals. The peppered steak and 12-ounce rib eye are two of the favorites of local patrons, or try the spicy Jamaican chicken.

Paesano's

Elegant Italian dining
555 E Basse Rd
Ste 100
San Antonio, TX 78209
United States
+1 210 828 5191
http://www.paesanos.com
One of the most acclaimed Italian restaurants in San Antonio, Paesano's has been a local favorite for decades. Tourists are most familiar with its location on the River Walk, but the one just north of downtown in Lincoln Heights, near the Quarry Marketplace, offers the same great menu in a different atmosphere. Paesano's in Lincoln Heights is relaxed yet sophisticated, a place to see and be seen. Be sure to visit on a nice day during sunset. The west room has a spectacular sunset view overlooking the Quarry Golf Course; it's a view that you would not want to miss, especially with that special someone. You can choose from a variety of dinners including red snapper sautéed with artichokes, mushrooms and white wine; orange roughly with lemon butter and garlic; and shrimp with fra diavolo sauce. Of course, the restaurant would not be the same without its namesake, Gamberi Paesano (Shrimp Paesano), which is served as either an appetizer or a dinner.

Polo's

An exceptional dining experience
401 South Alamo St
Fairmount Hotel
San Antonio, TX 78205
United States
+1 210 224 8800
Charm and elegance are the setting for this quiet, yet beautiful dining environment. Located inside the Historic Fairmount Hotel, you will find fine wine, contemporary art, and Southwest cuisine flavored with a bit of the orient. Be sure to try their Mesquite Grilled Rabbit or Australian Lamb Chops for a most delightful and different epicurean experience. Leaning toward something more oriental? Try the Midnight Chicken with a Moroccan Curry Sauce & Mango Coulis or maybe the Hong Kong Harbor plate consisting of scallions, chilies, bok choi, scallops and salmon with a sesame plum sauce.
