120 mph? 14,000 feet? Without a car, plane or other layer of metal between you and infinity? That is what you will get for $295, skydiving over the Mexican-Californian border with two jumpmasters. For $75 extra, a videographer records your jump on PAL or NTSC format so you can prove you did it when you go back home. Need someone to hold your hand? Try a tandem jump with an experienced skydiver. All dives can count toward your personal solo skydiving certification. Not up to that challenge? Go for the static-line jump ($160), where the chute is deployed automatically from a much lower altitude. Whatever dive you choose, you will be enjoying a brand-new 'high'.

Owned by many throughout the years, it is now the property of Mt. Woodson Golf Club and serves as a frequent site for weddings and special events. Now used as the administration office, the building can be viewed during operating hours.

With most of the fairways and greens of the Ted Robinson Jr. designed Arrowood Golf Course set adjacent to protected natural riparian habitats, the solitude of the picturesque countryside will enhance the golf experience. Comforted by coastal breezes and a year-round mild climate, players of this 6,721-yard, par 71 championship course will feel as though they're in a world unto themselves. “ This course is different from others we've designed in San Diego because of the topography and the extent of the natural areas adjacent to the holes. With no holes having housing on both sides, the course will feel open and unconfined.” Golfers have to think on this course, according to Arrowood Golf Course designer Ted Robinson, Jr. The same day replay rate is good to play any other JC Golf Course.

Since this par-71 course is only 5,832 yards long, it is especially important for all who play here to strive for accuracy, and not distance, when they hit the ball. As you are playing, you will encounter some rather unusual hazards, like the Sweetwater River, which zigzags through six holes. Beware of the "lucky" 13th hole. You'll need to contend with both the Sweetwater River and a pond at that location! Green fees start at $22 on weekdays and $34 on weekends; twilight rates are available after 2pm.

The Del Mar Fairgrounds has been a self supporting asset of the 22nd District Agricultural Association. It is the venue for the famous San Diego County Fair. It also operates the Surfside Race Place, an all year satellite horse racing facility. It also hosts several trade shows, exhibitions, fairs, music festivals etc. All in all, it provides a variety of entertainment for the discerning tourist. There is also a nifty gift shop where you can buy unique souvenirs to take home. Whether you have a nose for a good bargain or would like to network with local businesses, the Fairgrounds ought to be earmarked as a must-see on any itinerary.

San Diego, CA 92064

http://www.teebone.com/coursep...
Maderas Golf Club opened in November 1999 to great reviews. The golf course was designed by Johnny Miller and Robert Muir Graves offers beauty, challenge, and plenty of thrilling shots as it winds through the cliffs, rock outcroppings, creeks, and forests of the inland hill country of north San Diego. The designers and builders have created three lakes, five waterfalls, and over forty acres of native wildflowers seen throughout the golf course. The natural foliage provides Maderas with ten months of natural color. Maderas features an outstanding driving range, will all-grass tees, plus a state-of-the-art short game facility. Maderas Golf Course will test all aspects of your golf abilities. Tee shots may impose a long forced carry, or simply confine you to a narrow portion of a fairway guarded by a ravine, a creek, or one of the three lakes and five waterfalls. The fairways are very undulating, almost resembling a frozen, swollen sea of green. If you are in a fairway, there is a good chance you will have a compromised stance for your next shot. And you may be facing a semi-blind shot to an elevated green.
