The Del Mar Fairgrounds has been a self supporting asset of the 22nd District Agricultural Association. It is the venue for the famous San Diego County Fair. It also operates the Surfside Race Place, an all year satellite horse racing facility. It also hosts several trade shows, exhibitions, fairs, music festivals etc. All in all, it provides a variety of entertainment for the discerning tourist. There is also a nifty gift shop where you can buy unique souvenirs to take home.
