Gazing at Pacific beach, buzzing with surfers, bikers, and beachcombers, is only one of the delights of dining at JRDN, the restaurant on the Ocean-front ground floor of the swanky Tower 23 hotel. Aside from the excellent view and sweet ocean breezes, the food is delicious and the drink selection is excellent. The chef uses local produce and hand selected meats and seafood to prepare diverse dishes. The Lobster B.L.T., served with toasted brioche and tarragon aioli, comes bursting with fresh lobster meat, along with a side of yummy fries. Though exorbitant drink rates might sting, the food is very reasonably priced. The indoor bar area has a pleasant, poshy ambiance of its own, echoing the sea with walls made of white chrome shaped into vertical waves.
