Loma Portal

San Diego
Part of the larger Point Loma residential district of west San Diego, Loma Portal is an upscale community that borders Mission Bay to the north and Old Town to the northeast. This is known as one of the most interesting districts because of its variety in architectural design. Although a major residential area, it is not one with the oldest homes, nor with the most expensive, rather it represents a mix of highly stylized bungalows interspersed with new "McMansions". Different styles include: Tudor, Spanish Mission, Mission Revival, Prairie, Arts and Crafts, Modern/Art Deco, Ranch, and one example of a mid-century Modern glass box
