Mission Valley

San Diego
Mission Valley is a modern shopping and entertainment hub, named for the Mission San Diego de Alcalá, located in the east of the valley. The mission was constructed in 1769, and is often considered to be California's first church. Several large shopping centers are popular in the area, including the Fashion Valley Mall, The Hazard Center Mall and the Westfield Mission Valley Mall. Qualcomm Stadium, home to the Chargers NFL team, and until recently, The Padres Major League Baseball team, is also located in the region. A number of other attractions are close by, most notably, SeaWorld.
