Scores of diners visit this restaurant on weekend nights, especially when an exciting independent film is premiering at the Ken Cinema across the street. Inside, the recently renovated restaurant has abandoned its old 1950s diner atmosphere in favor of dramatic rust-colored walls, and a new wine list offers more choices. But this family-run restaurant continues to offer unique and wholly-Mexican. Fresh made tortilla chips arrive with a thick spicy salsa, a bowl of dangerous jalapenos and slightly milder carrots.
