Old Italian charm |
1125 Rosecrans St San Diego, CA 92106 United States +1 619 223 2553 |
This family-owned restaurant is located in the center of Point Loma. There are two dining rooms decorated in 1950s "family Italian." The setting is old style and so is the service. All dishes are homemade, including the bread. Hot sandwiches include Meatballs Parmigiano, Sausage Parmigiano and Provolone & Peppers. Dinner offers baked macaroni dishes and a variety of veal dinners. Chicken and seafood are also available. The pizza is excellent and delivery is free. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Food with a view |
2803 Emerson Street San Diego, CA 92106 United States +1 619 224 1134 |
The food is great and so are the boat and people watching. This "little" place is located on the boardwalk next to H&M Landing, one of the busiest sport-fishing docks on the West Coast. Seating consists of five outside stools that overlook the sport-fishing boats. If you are late catching your boat, order the Grab & Go sub. If time permits, enjoy fresh soup, salad, cold beer or a glass of wine. Other items are grilled Panini subs, breakfast sandwiches, malts, shakes and smoothies. Review © 2007, Wcities |

The dining area is small, but the two levels and outside view make it appear warm and spacious. Outside seating is available. The menu includes 22 different kinds of pizza, hot and cold sandwiches, and Greek and Italian specialties. Everything from the vegetarian pizza to the Greek-style chicken is excellent. Point Loma hideaway |
2541 San Diego Avenue San Diego, CA 92115 United States +1 619 325 4445 http://www.livingroomcafe.com |
Located in a vintage wood-frame house, this comfortably furnished coffeehouse also offers an elevated, street-side patio area for sipping and people watching. A popular cram spot for students from the nearby Nazarene College, it also attracts tourists from the many nearby motels and residents from the fine old houses off the side streets. Coffee is king here or you could try the Iced Cafe Mazatlan on a hot day. You can also order Quiche Lorraine and Chicken Wellington, Baked Brie en Croute, breakfast dishes, sandwiches and salads, all extremely reasonably priced. Review © 2007, Wcities |

A Local Favorite |
2912 Shelter Island Dr San Diego, CA 92106 United States +1 619 224 2401 http://www.miguels-cocina.com |
You will not find "Mexican lite" served here. Instead, this is good soul-satisfying Mexican food. You will find enchiladas smothered with sauce and cheese, as well as tostada supremes laden with sour cream and guacamole. Do not forget to ask for the special "white sauce" with the chips and salsa—all the locals do! With good food, friendly service and a full bar, this small restaurant has become a San Diego favorite. Without reservations, expect to wait an hour on weekend nights. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Great food and menu |
10821 Via Cascabel San Diego, CA 92106 United States +1 619 224 3568 |
Some people who live as far away as L.A. have been known to travel to this eatery on a regular basis. It is definitely worth the trip because the menu is astounding! The restaurant offers more than 200 dishes on the menu and happily the dishes are all prepared without the dreaded MSG. Anything you order will be memorable, but if you have ever tasted the sweet-and-succulent Sauteed Lobster Tail, you too will travel from all points for an encore. The specialty is traditionally-prepared Peking Duck. Review © 2007, Wcities |
