Jamba Juice

Just plain yummy
3305 Rosecrans Street
(Suite A, Loma Square)
San Diego, CA 92110
United States
+1 619 523 2800
This sparkling clean, streamline juice bar is the perfect place for breakfast, lunch or a late night snack. Even the smallest portion will fill you up and rev you on. Besides a large variety of fruit and vegetable combination juices and smoothies, you can ask for a "shot" of minerals and vitamin boosters to make your drink even healthier. Any combination here is good as long as you like fresh fruits and vegetables. Try the Razzmatazz, a combination of red raspberries, banana, blueberries and pineapple.

A brilliant kitchen creates fine Chinese cuisine made to order, or choose from the well-stocked, fresh buffet. The food here is excellent and well priced. For sheer value, the dinner buffet offers a wonderful array of items. These vary seasonally, but a recent visit offered Green-Lipped Mussels in black bean sauce, and Fried Won Tons in two varieties, one made with a dash of cream cheese and meat, the other a delicious, moist meatball. The buffet offers several soups, including an excellent Hot-and-Sour.

Tio Carlos

Fiesta-like atmosphere
3334 Rosecrans Street
San Diego, CA 92110
United States
+1 619 223 2109
This lively and friendly Mexican restaurant has to work hard to overcome an odd location on top of an older motel and next to a busy street, but once visitors find it they come back time and again. The traditional complimentary chips and salsa are so good that you must remind yourself to save room for the entree. Combination plates are popular, such as the Shredded-Beef Taco Plate or the Chicken Enchilada Plate. A full bar is available; try a Margarita or one of the numerous brands of Mexican beer.

One of the first successful Japanese restaurants in San Diego, this venue has stood the test of time providing tasty, fresh Japanese food served in a serene environment. The food is admittedly catering to North American and European tastes. The signature dish is Yakitori, a Grilled Chicken in a mouth-watering sweet Teriyaki Sauce, served in various combinations. An excellent selection of super-fresh sushi at reasonable prices is also offered. The relaxing atmosphere with muted decor along with the quiet, well-trained staff lets you exhale and concentrate on the delicious food.
