This community to the east of Hillcrest also has pedestrian-friendly streets, with residential and commercial areas in close proximity to one another. In central San Diego, it focuses on Adams Avenue and Park Boulevard. Many of the residents are students at UCSD, and the area has a large gay community with several popular gay bars. Visitors are welcome to visit the Trolley Barn Park, a beautiful area for families and children to relax and take advantage of the weather.
