This glorious example of Victorian architecture was built in 1887 for the eccentric author, musician, and spiritualist medium Jesse Sheppard. Replete with all the fancy turned work and enchanting dragon-topped turrets that mark the Victorian style, this well-preserved mansion is now frequently the site of Victorian teas, musicales, Halloween and Victorian Christmas celebrations. Listed on the National Registry of Historical Places, they offer tours and private bookings can be arranged.
