Since 1993, AfroSolo Theater Company has sought to uphold and honor the beauty of the traditions of the African American and the African Diaspora's arts and culture through visual arts with an emphasis on solo performances. Under the art direction of Thomas Robert Simpson, the theater brings together diverse and varied performers together in San Francisco's historic Fillmore district.
