Upscale diner food is the star here with classic comfort foods re-imagined as gourmet classics. The Chicken Pot Pie is full of the freshest produce and Bechemal Sauce instead of the usual vapid veggies and starchy gravy. The classic Chilled Green Salad has a Pesto Sauce instead of mere oil and vinegar. The place is hopping all day with a nimble wait staff delivering plates heaped high with food to the dotcommers, students and hip families that frequent the chrome and cement favorite.
