Mannheim Steamroller presents their classic Christmas tribute for an extended stay at San Francisco's Post Street Theatre. The four-member group performs with the orchestral backings of ten members of the San Francisco Symphony. It is truly a multimedia event with the band accompanied by their popular music videos of holiday treats or scenic views of nature playing in the background. The First Act features classics like "Deck the Halls," "Good King Wenceslas," and "White Christmas" – during many of the songs "snow" falls on stage much to everyone's delight. The Second Act takes you back to the 15th century Renaissance where the band performs from behind a white curtain, upon which is projected a pre-filmed segment of a manor lord's Christmas inside a medieval castle; complete with bumbling servants, jesters, acrobats, wassail and an abundance of elaborate roasted meats. There is a complete gift shop out in front of the performance are where you can get a variety of Mannheim Steamroller recordings. Be prepared for a Christmas light show, theatrical fog, music videos, and a hip band from the 1970s that performs while wearing Converse sneakers.
