Over 30 years ago, Italian chef Giuseppe DiGrande came to the United States from Italy. He worked at a variety of five-star Italian restaurants before coming to this eatery. Fifteen years after that, this restaurant is cited as having some of the finest Italian food in The City. The name is not just a flight of fancy. On the wall hangs a beautiful gold mirror while the rest of the restaurant is more rustic than ornate. A cozy place to enjoy a meal, the menu is a smattering of fish, chicken, and pasta. Canneloni pasta is the house specialty. Other reccommended items include the Chicken Cacciatore and the Louisiana Jumbo Prawns. In addition, the restaurant boasts a large selection of California wines (prices vary, but a good bottle starts at $10). The service is great.
