People have been flocking to the sleepy little beach community of Half Moon Bay since the 60s to celebrate all things pumpkin during this festival. You can sample pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin crepes, pumpkin bread, pumpkin candy, and, well, you get the idea. There are also arts and crafts booths, many with a pumpkin theme, as well as pumpkin carving exhibitions, a haunted house and great live music. Acres of pumpkin patches surround the town, and the town is entirely charming in and of itself. Admission is free for this annual October tradition. Review © 2009, Wcities
