This 75-room hostel was renovated in 2005 and provides accomodation for around USD23 per person, in shared and private rooms. Sure there are amenities like lockers, Internet, laundry and TV, but little else on offer. If you're a student or a traveler on a shoe-string budget, this one's for you. The location is a big plus for the hostel. Visit the Opera House for a show, the Asian Art Museum for admiring the art, the Ocean Beach for a stroll, or the Hayes Valley to chill out at the eateries there.
