The peach walls, tile floors and bronze fixtures are more a California interpretation of a Tuscan villa than a reflection of the real thing, but it is still a lovely setting for this authentic Italian food described by Joe himself as hearty peasant fare. He is being modest. Quail with risotto and Maine lobster are a little too upscale to be described that way, but who cares? The food is excellent and so is the service that brings house-made pastas, Osso Bucco, and a Torta di Ricotta that is divine.
