Hard-to-find Tibetan cuisine |

If you have never had Tibetan food before, which is probably the case, then you are in for a treat at Lhasa Moon. It is some of the heartiest and most comforting of Asian cuisines. This cozy restaurant serves delicious renditions of Himalayan favorites like Momo dumplings, Phiing Alla (a crepe stuffed with vegetables), and lamb with daikon simmered in vegetable broth. You will, of course, have to try Tibetan butter tea, which, though not for everyone, hits the spot if you have just made an ascent of the South Face of Mount Tam. And thankfully it is not authentic enough to be made with yak butter. Review © 2009, Wcities |
