This quaint Marina District motel has a beautiful garden courtyard and an interesting history. Family-owned and operated, it was one of the first hotels designed for motorists in the 1930s, completed just in time for the opening of the Golden Gate Bridge. It still retains the look and feel of that era. Each guest gets a private parking space, which is a premium luxury in San Francisco. Otherwise, it offers fewer amenities than the large hotels but it is charming, clean and affordable.
