The organizers of this late September, tongue-in-cheek celebration of condensation have a screwball attitude that makes this one of the most popular festivals in the Bay Area. Sure, there are the familiar crafts, music, and food you would expect from a festival like this. But there are also unique events, like the fog jog and the ever-popular fog-calling contest. Oddly enough, this foggiest of Bay Area cities usually experiences a rare fog-free spell during the festivities. This phenomenon actually forced organizers to rent fog machines one year.
