San Francisco's North Beach is not the only place to get authentic Italian baked goods. There may not be as much quaint charm at this cozy bakery-cafe, but the treats are just as delicious, and while the setting lacks North Beach's quaintness, it is elegant with its crystal chandeliers and polished wood paneling. You can lunch on focaccia sandwiches or spinach frittatas, pick up a pound of assorted Italian cookies, or have a latte and a cannoli bursting with candied fruit and sweetened ricotta.
