Located in San Francisco's popular SOMA district, the Pontiac Hotel is just minutes away from many of the city's most popular attractions. San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), AT&T Park (home to the San Francisco Giants), Union Square and the Civic Center are all within walking distance. Public transportation is easily accessible as well - the BART station, which will take you around the city and into outside cities such as Oakland and Berkeley, is a mere half-mile away. And, with the neighborhood's wide array of culinary treats to please the palette and boutiques to lighten the wallet, guests of this hotel will find few reasons for boredom. All 72 rooms offer HBO and a shared bathroom. The front desk is open 24 hours and each guest is treated to a continental breakfast. Though the amenities are minimal, the prime location of the Pontiac Hotel (as well as its reasonable rates) should urge guests to spend more time exploring the city rather than exploring the hotel room.
